چکیده

Inconsistencies in feeding level of dairy cattle to their feed needs leads various metabolic diseases, including ketosis. The purpose our work is study changes the metabolism both sexually mature representatives and young animals obtained from them. article states following causal factors ketosis occurrence cows: excessive amount fat substances, imbalance chemical elements diet. pathology carbohydrate-fat during cows was characterized by a significant change blood biochemical parameters, namely, an increase triglycerides (up 0.7 ± 0.07 mmol/l), cholesterol 2.7 0.15 non-esterified fatty acids 1.93 0.19 KET 2.4 0.18 low glucose concentration 1.07 0.12 mmol/l) alkaline reserve 17.8 1.5 mmol/l). Low triglycerides, cholesterol, reserve, as well high values acids, KET, characterize exchange calves with relative born without pathology.

J agos P., Bouda J.: Protein Metabolism in Cows and their Calves Fed from Buckets. Acta vet. Brno, 49, 1980: 59-66. The level of total protein, protein fractions, immune globulins in blood and colostral serum of 40 cows and in blood serum of their calves up to the age of 3 months were determined. No significant differences in the concentration of total proteins and their fractions in blood seru...

Overview of Fat Digestion and Metabolism in Dairy Cows

Over the last 25 years, the use of supplemental fats and oils in dairy cow rations has developed to the point where it now is a standard practice. Fats are supplemented to increase ration energy density, which ideally will lead to increased energy intake if dry matter intake is not decreased extensively. In turn, increased energy intake should improve energy balance and benefit body condition, ...

Glycerol Supplementation in Dairy Cows and Calves

The production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil methyl ester leaves glycerol (synonym: glycerine, 1,2,3-propanetriol) as a valuable by-product and a promising feed supplement for farm animals. This thesis provides information about the supplemental feeding with glycerol to dairy cows in early lactation and to young calves, and describes the fate of glycerol entering the rumen and the impact of gl...

Effects of feeding supplemental fat to beef cows on cold tolerance in newborn calves.

Our objectives were to examine the effects of added fat in late-gestation cow diets on neonatal response to cold. In Exp. 1, pregnant fall-calving heifers received control (n = 5), safflower seed (n = 5), or whole cottonseed (n = 5) diets. The hay-based, isonitrogenous, and isocaloric diets, fed for 47 d prepartum, contained 1.5, 4.0, and 5.0% fat for control, safflower, and whole cottonseed di...

Observation of lymphocyte function in perinatal cows and neonatal calves.

The changes in lymphocyte transformation rate and proportion of E-rosette forming cells (ERFC), in addition with serum concentration Qf IgG and certisol were examined on dairy cows in the perinatal period. The cows were bled at the various stages of pregnancy, parturition and post-parturient period. Also in calves, the lymphocyte transformation rate and proportion of ERFC were examined on the b...
